'Recordando Bogotá: memorias del ruido' is an editorial project that unfolds the four stages of punk life in Bogotá, spanning from 1979 to the mid-2010s. This story is woven from the discourses embedded in song lyrics, along with the memories of those who experienced each era, including musicians and enthusiasts. Bibliographic sources on the history of punk in Bogotá are scarce, with contemporary knowledge being quite limited.
Hence, the primary objective of the project is to recover and present this memory today, showcasing the evolution of the punk movement in Bogotá. It employs historical records, music, aesthetics, and punk symbolism as resources to illustrate the reality and transformation of a youth sector.
Punk allowed many individuals to self-determine their lives, renewing political and social representations through its ideological essence. In this regard, punk stands as a cultural rupture that delineates the structuring of a new path for youth as time progresses.
