During this encounter, Bilbo acquires the Ring, granting him the ability to become invisible. The discovery of the Ring represents a turning point, influencing future events and providing Bilbo with a special power to overcome obstacles. Additionally, the Ring establishes a connection with the expanded universe of Middle-earth as the One Ring, a central object in "The Lord of the Rings."

The battle of Smaug
The confrontation with the dragon Smaug is the climax of the story and unleashes a chain of crucial events. After overcoming dangers and reaching the Lonely Mountain, the dwarves and Bilbo awaken Smaug, triggering his fury when Bilbo steals a treasure. This event has political and strategic implications, leading to the Battle of the Five Armies. The confrontation tests the characters' courage and defines their destiny as they fight for control of the treasure and power over the Lonely Mountain. It is a crucial moment where alliances are forged, and the future of Middle-earth is shaped. The impact of this event not only affects the characters involved but also the future of Middle-earth as a whole.
The five armies
